چکیده

The need for inexpensive and sustainable electricity has become an exciting adventure due to the recent rise in local population number of visitors visiting Banana Islands. Islands is a grid-isolated environment with abundant renewable energy, establishing hybrid energy-based power system may be viable solution high cost diesel fuel. This paper describes dual-flow optimization method electrifying Islands, remote island Sierra Leone. study weighs pros cons maintaining current diesel-based setup versus introducing energy that takes backup component analysis into account. Hybrid Optimization Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER) software used first optimally design various configurations based on techno-economic environmental characteristics. A Multi-Attribute Decision-Making (MADM) Model account second optimization, Combinative Distance-based Assessment System (CODAS) algorithm, methods assigning weights attributes rank best configuration. results show better option than stand-alone system. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) weight assignment was found superior Entropy method. Biogas generator-assisted outperformed configurations. With optimum 101 kW PV, 1 wind turbine, 50 biogas, 86 batteries, 37.8 converter, PV-wind-biogas-battery rated as It net present (NPC) $487,247, (COE) $0.211/kWh, CO2 emission 17.5 kg/year. Sensitivity analyses reveal changes rate inflation storage have significant effect overall

Introducing a New Approach for Prioritizing Combating Desertification Strategies Based on Multi- Attribute Decision Making

Addressing desertification, due to its multi-criteria nature, increasing development, extensive and long-term impacts on natural resources and human populations, is necessary to achieve sustainable development. Therefore, for optimal utilization of facilities and limited funds allocated to this issue, evaluation of current strategies, based on different criteria is essential to avoid wasting na...

A Method for Intuitionistic Fuzzy Multi- Attribute Decision Making with Incomplete Attribute Weight Information

A new method for solving intuitionistic fuzzy multi-attribute decision making problem is proposed, in which the information of attribute weights is incompletely known. Considering much information about hesitancy and vagueness inherited to intuitionistic fuzzy sets, a new class of distance for describing the deviation degrees between intuitionistic fuzzy sets is introduced. Furthermore, the mea...

A decision support model for multi-attribute group decision making using a multi-objective optimization approach

The multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problem has received considerable attention in the decision analysis field and fruitful achievements have been reported in the literature. This paper focuses on the MAGDM in which the subjective absolute judgement on alternatives with respect to evaluating attributes are represented by fuzzy numbers. This paper employs the consensus degree to me...

A Generalized Approach to Fuzzy Multi-attribute Decision Making

We propose a generalized approach to the already existing crisp methods to solve the fuzzy multiattribute decision making problem. Specifically we deal with four methods, namely Simple Additive Weighting, Linear Assignment, TOPSIS and ELECTRE, where fuzzy numbers are used to represent the ratings of the alternatives and relative weights of the attributes. Through the use of fuzzy mathematics we...

Commercially Available Materials Selection in Sustainable Design: An Integrated Multi-Attribute Decision Making Approach

This paper presents an integrated multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) approach to aid selection of commercially available materials in the context of sustainable design. The MADM couples grey relational analysis (GRA) with an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to rank alternative materials in terms of their economic, environmental, and social performance. AHP is used to determine the correspon...
